Season of Love

I've always viewed the Christmas season as a Season of Love. People who don't normally give through the year, decide to give a few hours of their time fo the homeless; people who don't normally do things for others tend to give an extra dollar to the man on the street begging for food; people give toys to the toy-drives in their areas and they go out of their way to make sure the children in their families have the best Christmas Presents ever. This is a beautiful season. It's a season of Love.

This season brings such warmth to homes- such a beautiful spirit of giving. It sparks an urge to want to do something amazing for someone else besides yourself. While we still have our own selfish desires for our own gifts, it just feels so much better when we can take the time to do something special for someone else. And that of course is an act of kindness that we should do to mirror the most amazingly beautiful- the most unselfish- and the best gift in the world that God gave to us; Jesus Christ!

Throughout the year I remind myself to thank God for my Savior. I decided that I don't want to be religious and only celebrate his birth during the Christmas season. God loves us so much that he gave his only son to give us salvation (John 3:16). This is the best representation of love ever. This is the reason for the season. This is why we should always remember to give thanks for the opportunity of having eternal life. This is why we should share such a gift with the world.

During this Christmas season, as you buy Christmas gifts for your loved ones, do it with a heart of love- remembering what an incredible gift God has given to us.

Thanks so much for dropping by and I pray you have a wonderful Christmas Season of Love!

I have had to relearn to love Christmas. I had to learn it IS about Jesus Christ.
We all need to relearn basics of our faith.
