Sometimes You Just Have To Laugh!

A close friend of mine had a very funny event happen in her home a few days ago. She has three small children- all girls. Well, the two oldest girls decided to "play baking" in their living room. But, they baked with the baby powder (I'm assuming they were pretending it was baking powder). Needless to say, they ended up having powder EVERYWHERE. Her entire living room was filled with baby powder. She has hardwood floors and a leather sofa set!!!!

She explained yesterday how all she could do was laugh and take pictures/video of what they did. She couldn't get too upset. It was just a moment where all she could do was laugh it off. This was such a better reaction than to react in anger because of the giant mess she has to clean up now. But, what made it funnier, is their pure innocense. They were baking- they told their mom. And what could she say? And if you see her little girls... they are the most adorable little girls.

Have you had a similar experience where instead of getting so upset all you could do is sit back and laugh at your situation. Some folks may even think you are crazy for "laughing" at something you should be "crying" about. But, what's so amazing about serving God is that He does have a HUGE sense of humor! He is our creator so there's no doubt he created laughter.

There is an old saying that goes, "Laughter is good for the soul". I haven't found that scripture yet- but I believe there is some truth to that theory. In fact, scripture in the book of Ecclesiastes tells us that there is a time and season for everything... even to LAUGH! (Ecclesiastes 3:4).

Now, laughing at EVERY situation may be a little deep! In fact, some things aren't funny at all. But, in all things pray that God would give you a peace about it.

Have you ever experienced something that was NOT funny at the time it happened... but later in life you looked back on it and laughed uncontrollably? It happens to me a lot when I think back on silly situations I was in.

Keep in mind that whatever it is will pass and soon enough you'll be rolling on the floor laughing at something else that happened!

My friend video recorded her girls fully clothed in BABY POWDER! She showed me the video yesterday and it tickled me so much it made my stomach hurt! I encouraged her to enter it into America's Funniest Home Video's. If she does, I'll be sure to post it here and let you know (even the video if she allows). I'm sure it'll tickle you as well!

The lesson here? You don't have to get so angry all the time. Just laugh it off and move on!

Blessings to You,
